Sensor for detecting and quantifying isocyanates, said sensorncomprising at least one isocyanate-sensitive layer optionally applied onnan at least essentially inert substrate or support, wherein saidnsensitive layer comprises specific metal oxides optionally doped withndoping additives. Further, reference to the use of such sensor in anprocess for detecting and quantifying isocyanates. A plurality of suchnsensors may be connected to result in a high-performance sensor systemnfor selective detection or analysis. The sensor has a high sensitivitynwith a rapid response rate, especially with respect to the detection ornquantification of isocyanates. Calibration of the sensor is a preferablenembodiment. |
