titleOfInvention Method and device for monitoring concentration of an analyte in a living human or animal body
abstract The invention relates to methods for continuously monitoring a concentration of an analyte by determining its time course in the living body of a human or animal, in which analyte values y (t n ) correlating with the desired concentration are determined for successive times tn. According to the invention, in order to predict an analyte value y (t n0 + Δt) over a prediction period Δt, first a function F (t k , t k -Δn , t k-2Δn ,..., T k- (m-2) Δn , t k- (m-1) Δn ), which are of analyte values y (t k ), y (t k -Δ , n ), y (t k-2Δn ) ,. y (t k- (m-2) Δn ), y (t k- (m-1) Δn ) is determined with the in a neighborhood U of an analyte value y (t n0 ) at time tn or time course of the analyte values y (t n ) can be approximated with a given accuracy σ, so that where Δn is a natural number and then by means of the function fine prediction value y (t n0 + Δt) = F (t n0 , t n0 - Δn , ... ..., t (n0 - (m - 2) Δn) , t (n0 - (m - 1) Δn) ) is calculated.
