abstract The present invention relates to a cosmetic compositionnparticularly for the make-up of the facial skin, the lips and theneyelashes. It contains as essential ingredients a particular silicone-containingnpolyurethane. The particular silicone, used as pre-polymernin the polyurethane of the invention is an alkoxylated, bis-hydroxyalkylngroup terminated polydialkylsiloxane, in which thenreactive OH- group is attached to a carbon atom. n The balance contains the usual cosmetic excipients, colorantsnand other cosmetic additives, particularly clays, waxes and solvents.nBy the use of the particular silicone-containing polyurethane,nimproved film-forming properties of the composition are obtained, andnthe composition is transfer-resistant and easy to apply and skinnfriendly and comfortable in use. By introducing different kind of chainnextenders into the silicone-containing polyurethanes, their physical,nrheological and cosmetic properties can be tuned according to thenformulator's needs.
