abstract A method and apparatus for forming a covered endoprosthesisnemploys a conformed polymeric coating about an expandable stent. Thenexpandable stent has an open tubular construction. A first polymericnliner is positioned about an inner surface of the tubular stent andna second polymeric liner is positioned about an outer surface of thentubular stent. The first and second polymeric liners are conformednto the tubular stent and laminated together through the opennconstruction of the stent at a location coextensive with the innernsurface of the tubular stent.
