abstract Compounds of formula (I) are described: The compounds (I) inhibit TNFα production and may therefore be useful in the treatment of inflammation, of auto-immune diseases, and of pathological conditions which involve excessive production of that cytokine. The compounds (I) are also inhibitors of the histone deacetylase enzyme and may therefore be useful in tumorous diseases, alone or in association with other anti-tumour active ingredients.
