titleOfInvention Process for the preparation of polyethylene and a catalyst precursor
The invention relates to a process for the preparation of polyethylene, in which ethene in the presence of a catalyst precursor in which chromium is complexed with a ligand containing phosphorus and nitrogen, and in the presence of methylaluminumoxane as co-catalyst to polyethylene, and a corresponding catalyst precursor. n n n The object of the invention is to propose such a method and such a catalyst precursor, which allow the most selective possible reaction of ethene to polyethylene. This is achieved by a catalyst precursor having the following chemical formula wherein Y and Z are either carbon or nitrogen or sulfur or phosphorus or oxygen and R is either aryl, phenyl or alkyl and x is either 1 or 2 and n is 2 or 3, depending on the chemical valence of Y or Z, and Method using this catalyst precursor.
