The invention provides a photosensitive resin which isna material exhibiting excellent storage stability, affinity,nmiscibility, or solubility with respect to a variety ofncompounds, and high sensitivity and being solidified evennunder hydrous conditions as well as exhibiting high cure-relatednsensitivity and high flexibility and being uniformlynsolidified even under highly hydrous conditions, anphotosensitive resin composition containing the resin, and annovel compound. n The photosensitive resin is a saponified poly(vinylnacetate)-based photosensitive resin having a structural unitnrepresented by formula (1) :n n(wherein R 1 represents H or Me; R 2 represents a linear ornbranched C2-C10 alkylene group; n is an integer of 1 to 3; Xnrepresentsn nm is an integer of 0 to 6; and Y represents an aromatic ringnor a single bond). |
