abstract |
Processes are provided for the production of a hydantoinase enzyme which hasnthe ability to convert a D,L - (optionally substituted phenyl) hydantoin into thencorresponding D- N -carbamoyl (optionally substituted phenyl) glycine, bynexpressing recombinant DNA encoding a hydantoinase gene in a homologousnhost. Also provided are specific recombinant DNA vectors useful for producingnhigh levels of expression of the hydantoinase enzyme and their use in thenproduction of D-α amino acids |
