abstract |
The invention encompasses identification of diet-regulated disease-associated genes and EST’s and methods of use in disease screening, monitoring and treatment. It also encompasses methods for formulating medical foods used to treat and prevent disease and slow disease progression. A new method of identifying diet-regulated disease-associated genes and EST’s is disclosed that employs gene expression analysis in inbred strains of mice and matching the results with publicly available QTL ( quantitative trait locus) information. |
