abstract |
The present invention provides an aqueous composition comprising at least one alkaline metal inorganic salt in an amount from 5 % to 45 % by weight and at least one potassium salt of an organic acid in an amount from 5 % to 50 % by weight. The present invention also provides a method for reducing the burning of, or the amount or density of smoke produced by, a material that is exposed to fire, and for inhibiting or reducing the growth of microbes on a material that is exposed to conditions favorable to the growth of microbes, comprising applying a composition of the present invention to the material at a rate of 1 gallon per from 100 to 1000 square feet of the material. |
