The present invention provides a thermal recording material,nwhich is easy to manufacture and has excellent productivity,nwater resistance, heat resistance (running stability) andnchemical resistance, by solving various problems caused by usingna crosslinking agent for a protective layer. n The thermal recording material of the present inventionncomprises a protective layer mainly composed of a resin emulsionn(a) comprising a copolymer resin emulsion (b) containingn(meth)acrylonitrile and a vinyl monomer copolymerizablentherewith, and having an SP value (solubility parameter) of 12.0nor more, a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 10 to 70°C, andna minimum film-forming temperature (MFT) of 5°C or less, and anpolyolefin copolymer resin emulsion (c). |
