A vehicle headlight (4) has a headlight housing (7) which supports a light source (12) and can be fixed to the frame of a motor vehicle. The vehicle headlight (4) has a floodlight headlamp cover disc (3), which is connected to the headlamp housing (7) via a holding device (6). The latter comprises a flexible compensating element (11), so that a relative movement of the supported headlight cover disc (3) to the headlight housing (7) is made possible. In the area of a body opening (2) provided for the headlight (4), the headlight cover disc (3) is connected to the body (1) via a fastening element (5). A compensating movement, in particular a thermal compensation of the headlamp (4) relative to the body (1) is possible in this embodiment, without this under the stability of the headlamp (4) suffers. <IMAGE> |
