abstract |
An object of the present invention is to provide a protonnconducting polymer membrane that has excellent mechanicalnproperties and high methanol barrier properties, in additionnto high proton conductivity, and is useful as an electrolytenin polymer electrolyte fuel cells and direct methanol fuelncells. The present invention provides a proton conductingnpolymer membrane having a product of a proton conductivitynat 23°C and a methanol barrier coefficient at 25°C in an aqueousnmethanol solution of a specified concentration being anspecified value or more. The present invention also providesna proton conducting polymer membrane having an ion exchangencapacity of 0.3 milli-equivalent/g or more, and having ancrystalline phase. |
