abstract It is an object of the present invention to provide a methodnof granulation of raw material for sinter for iron manufacturing,nwhich is effectively used for granulating raw material for sinternfor iron manufacturing, such as iron ore fines, in manufacturingnsintered ore that form raw materials for a blast furnace chargenin a pig iron making process, and makes it possible to sufficientlynimprove the productivity of a sintering machine. n The present invention is directed to a method ofngranulation of a sintering material for iron manufacturingncontaining powder iron ore comprising a process for carryingnout granulation by preliminary diluting fine particles havingnan average particle size of not more than 200 µm to one portionnof a solvent or a sintering material and adding the resultingnmaterial to the rest of the sintering material,nwherein said granulation is at least one process selected fromnthe group consisting of the following (1), (2) and (3);n (1) a process for carrying out granulation which comprises mixingnsaid fine particles and water so as to form a slurry having anviscosity of 0.005 to 10 Pa·s, and then adding the slurry tonthe sintering material, (2) a process for carrying out granulation which comprisesnpreliminarily granulating said fine particles with 13 to 60 %nby mass amount of a sintering material comprising iron ore asnan essential component as measured in the dried state, and thennadding said granulated product to the rest of the sinteringnmaterial, and (3) a process for carrying out granulation which comprisesnpreliminary mixing said fine particles with 0.3 to 10 % by massnamount of the sintering material as measured in the dried state.
