abstract A change device for optical elements (2a-2d) in stereomicroscopes is proposed with which a pair of optical elements (2) can be introduced into the two stereo channels (3) of a stereomicroscope. A particularly compact design can be achieved in that the optical elements (2) are arranged in a circular arc, in particular circular ring next to each other, wherein between the elements of the two stereo channels (3) associated pair of elements (2a, 2d) at least one further optical element (2e; 2b, 2c) is arranged, and that the center (4) of the circular arc or annular arrangement (1) to the center (5) of the stereo base of the stereo channels (3) is laterally displaced.
