The present invention provides:n an inorganic layered compound dispersion prepared byncleaving the inorganic layered compound to a thinner layer levelnand capable of providing high corrosion resistance and gasnbarrier properties when utilized in the form of a coatingncomposition or a gas barrier coating composition; a gas barrier coating composition with which films havingnhigh transparency and satisfactory gas barrier properties cannbe obtained at low cost when the gas barrier layers are formednin a thinner film form and, when the film thickness is increased,nfilms having good transparency and still better gas barriernproperties can be obtained; and plastic- or paper-based gas barrier packaging containersnhaving high gas barrier performance characteristics asnobtainable by application of such a gas barrier coatingncomposition. n The present invention provides:n an inorganic layered compound dispersion, nwherein an inorganic layered compound (b) is dispersed usingna peroxide (a) in a dispersion medium. |
