The present invention discloses 1) a catalyst compositionnconsisting of a crosslinked organic polymer compound and a palladiumncatalyst, wherein said catalyst is physically carried on saidncrosslinked organic polymer compound, 2) a manufacturing method ofnthe above catalyst composition 1), characterized by homogenizing anstraight chain organic polymer compound, having a crosslinkablenfunctional group, and a palladium catalyst in a solvent dissolvingnsaid straight chain organic polymer compound, then depositing ancomposition thus formed and subjecting the crosslinkable functionalngroup in said deposit to a crosslinking reaction, 3) a method fornsubstitution reaction at an allyl position, characterized by reactingnan allyl carbonate and a neucleophilic agent in the presence of thenabove catalyst composition 1), and 4) a method for oxidizing annalcohol, characterized by subjecting the above catalyst compositionn1) to reaction with an alcohol. The catalyst composition of thenpresent invention can be safely and easily handled without dangernof spontaneous ignition, and the like, and is extremely useful asna catalyst for various chemical reactions, and further activitynthereof is not decreased by repeated use thereof and a metal catalystndoes not leak from a polymer compound which is a carrier thereof. |
