titleOfInvention | Method of analyzing protein using laser ablation |
abstract | A method of analyzing a protein using laser ablation whichncomprises, in order to simultaneously atomize the atomsnconstituting the protein to be analyzed and ionize the samenusing a single laser source, irradiating the protein with lasernbeams and thus ablating the protein to thereby atomize thenprotein into the constituting elements and ionize the thusnatomized constituting elements, and then analyzing thenconstituting elements thus ionized. The laser beams fornablating the subject protein are ultra-short pulse laser beamsnwith which a chip having the protein fixed thereon is irradiated.nThus, the protein fixed on the chip is ablated with thenultra-short pulse laser beams so that the protein is atomizedninto the constituting elements and, at the same time, ionizednfollowed by the analysis of the constituting elements thusnionized. |
