Hollow polymer particles, aqueous dispersion thereof and production process thereof |
abstract |
Disclosed are hollow polymer particles composed of ancrosslinked polymer having a comparatively small particlendiameter and a narrow particle diameter distribution, annaqueous dispersion of the particles, and an ink having goodnflying property. n The hollow polymer particles are obtained bynemulsion-polymerizing a crosslinkable polymerizable monomerncomposition absorbed in seed particles and containing ancrosslinkable monomer component and a hydrophilic monomerncomponent, wherein the seed particles are particles of anpolymer having a weight average molecular weight of 500 ton15,000, and obtained by emulsion-polymerizing 100 parts bynmass of a non-crosslinkable polymerizable monomer in thenpresence of 0.01 to 5 parts by mass of a chain transfernagent composed of at least one compound selected from thengroup consisting of α-methylstyrene dimer, thiuramndisulfides and terpene hydrocarbons. The ink contains thenhollow polymer particles. |
