An optical fiber (1), a mixture solution (2) of the photosettingnresins (21,22) polymerizing in two different polymerization types,nand a transparent container (3) are prepared. The photosettingnresins are not copolymerized, and have different activationnwavelengths of the photopolymerization initiators fornhardening. Employing a combination in which the activationnwavelength of a photopolymerization initiator for anphotosetting resin with higher refractive index afternhardening is longer than the activation wavelength of anphotopolymerization initiator for a photosetting resin withnlower refractive index after hardening, a core portion (11) cannbe only formed by hardening the photosetting resin with highernrefractive index due to a difference between two wavelengths.nThereafter, a clad portion (23) can be formed by hardening two kindsnof photosetting resins, whereby an optical transmission devicencan be manufactured. An optical transmission and reception module,nin particular to carry IEEE1394 standard network signals, is also disclosed. |
