abstract |
A vessel system for accelerating the solid phase synthesis of peptidesncomprises a vessel system for the accelerated synthesis of peptides by the solid phasenmethod, said vessel system comprising:n a reaction cell or vessel (45) that is transparent to microwave radiation; a first passageway (46) in fluid communication with said cell (45) forntransferring solid phase resin between a resin source external to said cell and said cell; a second passageway (47) in fluid communication between at least one aminonacid source and said cell (45) for adding amino acids to said cell; a third passageway (50) in gaseous communication with an inert gasnsource (70) and with a vent (71) for applying gas pressure to and releasing gasnpressure from said cell (45) so that the controlled flow of gases to and from said cellncan be used to add and remove fluids and flowing solids to and from said cell (45). |
