Odorizing fuel gases with a methane content of at least 60 wt.% comprises adding a mixture of a C1-C6 alkyl (meth)acrylate and a ketone of formula (I) and optionally an antioxidant: X = 1-3C alkyl or 2-4C alkenyl; Y, Z' = H, 1-5C alkyl or 2-5C alkenyl; A = H, Me, Et, OMe or acetoxy; alternatively, X+Z forms of 5-8C ring substituted with 0-2 of OMe, Me or Et. An Independent claim is also included for a fuel gas with a methane content of at least 60 wt.% containing a C1-C6 alkyl (meth)acrylate and a compound (I) and optionally an antioxidant. |
