titleOfInvention Thermoplastic stiffening material used for manufacturing shoes, and a method for the production thereof
abstract A thermoplastic stiffening material for shoe production comprises (a) 50-95 wt% hot-melt adhesive with an MVR (100/21.6) value of 2-300 (preferably 10-20) cm 3>/10 min and (b) 50-5 wt% filler which is insoluble in the adhesive. A thermoplastic stiffening material (I) for shoe production comprises (a) 50-95 wt% hot-melt adhesive(s) with an MVR 100/21.6 value ( DIN ISO 1133) of 2-300 (preferably 10-20) cm 3>/10 min and (b) 50-5 wt% filler(s) which is/are insoluble in (a); the material shows an MVR of 2-6 (preferably 3-5) cm 3>/10 min, a tack value ( DIN EN 14610) of 10-60 (preferably 15, especially 30) N at 65[deg]C, a peel strength against upper and lining materials ( DIN 53357) of at least 30 N/5 cm and a linear expansion of not more than 25 (preferably less than 20) % after 5 minutes at 90[deg]C. Independent claims are also included for (1) a method for the production of (I) by melt-compounding (stirring and kneading) (a) with (b) while removing moisture and gases via a degassing system and subjecting the resulting plastic mass to vacuum degassing, and then processing further as required (2) a method for the production of (I) in which the adhesive/filler compound is granulated and the granules are then remelted and converted into flat film by extrusion or calendering (3) a method for the production of (I) in which the adhesive/filler compound is converted into stiffening parts by injection moulding (4) shoes containing (I) .
