A thermoplastic resin composition (Y) characterized by ncomprising (A) 20 to 64.9 wt% one or more ethylene copolymersncomprising an ethylene/α-olefin copolymer, (B) 35 to 70 wt% metalnhydroxide, and (C) 0.1 to 30 wt% grafted ethylene polymer. Thenresin composition has excellent flame retardancy and hasnsatisfactory pliability/flexibility and excellent tensilenproperties. It is suitable for use as an insulating materialnor sheath for electric wires. Also provided are: a polymerncomposition (Z) having high flame retardancy, characterized by ncomprising relative to (AA) 100 parts by weight of a polymer suchnas a thermoplastic polymer or thermosettingpolymer, in the rationof (BB) 50 to 250 parts by weight of a metal hydroxide, (E) 0.1nto 40 parts by weight of a triazine ring containing compound,nand (F) 0.1 to 40 parts by weight of a polyhydric alcohol; andna molded object obtained from the polymer composition. Thesenare suitable for use as an insulating material or sheath fornelectric wires. |
