abstract The additive of the invention is made of pellets, i.e. small cylinders (1) formed of anninner core (2) composed of an E-glass yarn charge, and of an outer film (3), to containnthis charge, constituted by a heat-meltable material (preferably ethylene-vinyl acetatenor ethylene-vinyl amide). In particular, the inner core (2) of the pellets (1) isnconstituted by a cold and low pressure agglomerate of E-glass yarn, that is, a glassnindicated for the preparation of reinforcing yarns. n With respect to conventional products, the additive of the invention offers thenadvantage that it does not absorb humidity and is resistant to temperatures, thusnstabilizing absorption of the bitumen and maintaining the required properties ofnmechanical resistance of the bitumen matrix even after long periods of time.
