abstract | A process for the preparation of 2- (N, N-dialkylamino) -ethoxyverbindungen of formula I, <IMAGE> in which 2- N, N-dialkylaminoethanol of the formula II <IMAGE> with alkyl chlorides or alkoxyethyl chlorides of the formula III CIR < 2> (III) in the presence of aqueous alkali metal hydroxide solutions and phase transfer catalysts, wherein R <1> for saturated, straight-chain alkyl groups with C1 to C6 and R <2> for saturated, straight-chain or branched alkyl groups with C3 to C6 or for saturated, straight-chain or branched alkylethoxy groups -CH2-CH2-OR <3> and wherein R <3> comprises saturated, straight-chain or optionally branched alkyl groups having C1 to C6. The 2- (N, N-dialkylamino) -ethoxy compounds which can be prepared according to the invention can be used as microstructure regulators in polymerization processes. |
