titleOfInvention Radiation detector
abstract A radiation detector of this invention has an electricallyninsulating buffer seat disposed on a front surface of anradiation sensitive semiconductor, in a position outside anradiation detection effective area. A common electrode fornbias voltage application is formed to cover the buffer seat.nA lead wire for bias voltage supply is connected to a leadnwire connection area, located on the buffer seat, of thensurface of the common electrode. The buffer seat reduces anshock occurring when the lead wire is connected to the commonnelectrode. As a result, the semiconductor and annintermediate layer are protected from damage which wouldnlead to a lowering of performance. The buffer seat isndisposed outside the radiation detection effective area.nThus, the buffer seat is provided without impairing thenradiation detecting function.
