abstract |
In a method of producing a pneumatic tire comprising a beltncomprised of at least two belt layers each constituted with steel cords and ancoating rubber covering the cord between a tread and a radial carcass by spirallynwinding a band-shaped uncured rubber composition extruded through an extrudernon a rotating support to form a rubber member having a given sectional shape, anrubber composition formed by compounding a rubber component with ancompound having a melting point of 120-220°C and/or a resin having a softeningnpoint prior to curing of 90-150°C, in which a total compounding amount of thencompound and the resin is 0.5-25 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass ofnthe rubber component, is applied in the coating rubber. In this method, thenextrusion workability at the uncured state is good, and a tire having a highndurability can be produced. |
