A thermal insulation method comprises putting in place a gel formed from an insulating liquid, with or without phase change and at least one gelling agent, comprising at least one polysiloxane, modified or not, and in situ cross-linking of the gelling agent, optionally in the presence of at least one compatibilising agent. The above particularly finds application for the insulation of a conduit or pipeline, in particular at great depth, for temperatures varying between 2 °C and 200 °C. The cross-linking formulations, the diverse methods for cross-linking and the insulating gels obtained are disclosed. |
