The invention provides a display device in whichnparasitic capacitance associated with data lines and drivingncircuits is prevented using a bank layer whose primarynpurpose is to define areas on a substrate in which annorganic semiconductor film is formed. When the organicnsemiconductor film for forming a luminescent element such asnan electroluminescent element or an LED is formed in pixelnregions (7), the organic semiconductor film is formed in thenareas surrounded by the bank layer (bank) formed of a blacknresist. The bank layer (bank) is also formed between annopposite electrode (op) and data lines (sig) for supplyingnan image signal to first TFTs (20) and holding capacitorsn(cap) in the pixel regions (7) thereby preventing parasiticncapacitance associated with the data lines (sig). |
