abstract |
The present invention relates to a method of producing a polymeric fibre comprising dissolving at least one fibre forming polymer in a solvent so as to form a polymer solution, and feeding the polymer solution under gravity through an orifice directly into a non-solvent whereby to cause formation of a polymeric fibre in the non-solvent. The present invention also relates to a method of producing a poly(ϵ-caprolactone) fibre comprising dissolving poly(ϵ-caprolactone) polymer in a solvent whereby to form a poly(ϵ-caprolactone) solution, and feeding the poly(ϵ-caprolactone) solution through an orifice directly into a non-solvent whereby to form said poly(ϵ-caprolactone) fibre. |
