titleOfInvention Non-invasive heating of implanted vascular treatment device
abstract One embodiment of the present invention involves employing, in a vascular treatment device (12), a material (24) which has a magnetic susceptibility which is heat sensitive. The vascular treatment device (12) can then be heated remotely and noninvasively using an applied magnetic field, to a preselected temperature at which the vascular treatment device (12) becomes substantially nonmagnetically susceptible.
