The invention provides a water-resistant cleansing preparation which takes the form of a transparent liquid and does not cause lowering in the cleansing power or deterioration in the appearance or the feelings in use even when contaminated with water, specifically, a transparent liquid cleansing preparation which consists of a composition comprising the following components (A) to (D) and does not turn cloudy even when 50 parts by weight of water is added per 100 parts by weight of the composition: (A) at least one nonionic surfactant selected from among (a) monoglycerol fatty acid esters wherein the fatty acid residue has 12 to 18 carbon atoms, (b) polyglycerol fatty acid esters wherein the fatty acid residue has 12 to 18 carbon atoms, (c) isostearyl pentaerythryl glyceryl ether, and (d) liquid nonionic surfactants having polyalkylene glycol chains and exhibiting IOB of 0.75 to 1.05, (B) a nonionic surfactant except the component (A), exhibiting IOB of 1.1 or above, (C) a liquid oil component, and (D) at most 12 wt% of water. |
