abstract A raw image and a processed image having several colornassigned to IHb values, which correspond to hematicninformation, can be produced from a signal produced by a CCDnincorporated in an electronic endoscope. When display of anquasi color image is enabled, the processed image isndisplayed in the form of a still image. When a releasenswitch is handled, the quasi color processed image isnphotographed using a monitor photographing apparatus andnthus recorded. Thereafter, a still image of a raw imagendepicting the same scene as the processed image can bendisplayed.
