The invention relates to induction of immune responses against target antigens using Fas ligand as an adjuvant. Melanoma cell lines transfected with FasL are shown to be rejected more efficiently than untransfected cells, and rejection is shown to be antibody-mediated. The invention provides immune complexes comprising target antigens and Fas ligand, pharmaceutical compositions comprising such immune complexes, and methods for generating immune responses, as well as methods for identifying cell-specific antigens, particularly tumour specific antigens, using cells expressing FasL. |
