| abstract | The invention provides an acoustic sensor array which comprises a plurality ofnconformable sensor elements having first and second outer surfaces, the first outernsurface being configured to attach to a subject such that the sensor elements arensubstantially conformal to the subject, and a carrier member releasably attached tonthe second outer surface of each of the plurality of sensor elements to hold thenplurality of sensors in alignment during positioning on a subject, wherein the carriernmember is disengaged from the sensor elements after the sensor elements arenattached to a desired location on the subject without causing the sensor elements tonmove from the desired location on the subject. The invention also provides a methodnof arranging discrete sensor elements associated with a sensor array on a subject. |
