titleOfInvention Method for reducing malodours of solid products containing a carboxylic acid
abstract A method is claimed for reducing malodours products containing at leastnone C 1 -C 6 mono-carboxylic acid wherein said solid product is made byndrying an aqueous solution, dispersion and/or slurry which contains thensaid carboxylic acid and an amount of one or more proteins, including atnleast one water-soluble protein. The advantage of intermixing proteinsnwith the carboxylic acid is that the malodour of this acid is reduced, evennwhen they do not form a coating around the acid. Moreover, less materialnis needed when starting from a solution, dispersion and/or slurry and thendrying process is less expensive and the organic acid stays more directlynphysiologically available when used in feed or food compared to a coatednorganic acid.
