abstract The invention relates to a distracting device for orthodontic/orosurgical purposes on the lower jaw used for distracting a front bone segment. The inventive distracting device comprises a first part (1) which is essentially U-shaped, similar to a dental arch, a second part (2), a central segment (3), and an end segment (4) on both sides thereof. Each end segment comprises fastening means and is connected to the central segment via a linear distracting element (5). The second part (2) of the device in provided with fastening parts (12, 13) and is assigned to a front bone segment that is to be displaced so as to fix said front bone segment.
