Disclosed is a method of carrying out lithographicnprinting using a plate having an image recording layerncapable of being developed with dampening water and/or ink,nthe method including:n a development step in which a plate bearing anrecorded image, mounted on a plate cylinder and having angiven surface speed is subjected to contact with andampening roller and/or a form roller having a surfacenspeed differing from the surface speed of the plate, and isnthereby supplied with dampening water and/or ink; and a printing step in which ink is transferred to anprinting material while the dampening roller and formnroller remain in contact with the plate. n The method of the present invention is a lithographicnprinting method which uses on-machine development typenplates and has a very high productivity because the amountnof paper spoilage at the start of printing is low and thentime until scum-free impressions are obtained is short. |
