abstract In the method for sulcus retraction according to the invention, a denture impression (8) is first made with a hardenable compound (3), which is removed after it has hardened. In the border area between the tooth (1) and the gum line (2), a silicone material (5) is applied with a suitable instrument. The characteristic feature of this silicone material (5) is its volume expansion during curing. The denture impression (8) previously produced is placed back on the teeth, as a result of which this impression (8) forms a one-sided limitation for the direction of expansion for the silicone material (5).
