abstract |
A method of colorimetry by which reliable analysis can be easily performed in a short time. Electrons are transferred, by the action of an oxidoreductase, from an analysis sample through a mediator to a color former which develops a color upon reduction. The color which is thus developed by the color former is measured to thereby qualitatively or quantitatively analyze the sample. The enzymatic reaction in this colorimetric method is a one-stage reaction, and the color-developing reaction occurs through a mediator. The measurement can hence be made in a short time. The found value is highly reliable because this reaction needs neither hydrogen peroxide nor oxygen. |
