abstract |
An ink set enables formation of a recorded image having a wide color reproduction range, high chroma, less granularity caused by dot representation, and gloss. Especially when the ink set is applied to a medium having a coating layer, the granularity caused by dot representation is suppressed largely. When the ink set is applied to plain paper, a recorded image having excellent developed color is obtained. The ink set includes a yellow ink (Y), a magenta ink (M), a cyan ink (C) and a red ink (R). The L* values of the CIE Lab colorimetric system of 1000-time diluted aqueous solutions of the inks are within the following ranges: 89 to 94 for (Y); 76 to 93 for (M); 74 to 87 for (C); and 55 to 74 for (R). |
