titleOfInvention Profiling method, electronic projector therewith and system for profiling an electronic display device
abstract An electronic projector (projector) is equipped with a profiling device (100) which is connected internally or externally via standard interfaces. The profiling device contains all the functionalities required for color management (color measurement, calibration, profile generation, etc.) and interacts with the projector (200) using a simple text-based protocol. The latter can be implemented relatively simply in terms of software in the projector, so that no changes to the basic design of the projector are required. As a result, the profiling device can be easily integrated into existing projectors at the factory and can also be used as an external supplement to existing projectors. The profiling device can also be used as an independent device for profiling other electronic display devices (eg monitors) and also for other measuring tasks, for example.
