titleOfInvention Molecular electronic component used to construct nanoelectronic circuits, molecular electronic component, electronic circuit and method for producing the same
abstract The invention relates to a molecular electronic component used to construct nanoelectronic circuits. Said molecular electronic component comprises a redox-active unit with an electron donor (D) and an electron acceptor (A). The electron donor and the electron acceptor (A) comprise one point of contact (K1, K2) each for connection to other components and the points of contact (K1, K2) allow a charge carrier transfer to the component and away from the component. Especially, the point of contact (K1, K2) of electron donor (D) and electron acceptor (A) is a permanent point of contact for mediating charge carrier transport via a permanent chemical bond, said point of contact comprising one binding partner of the chemical bond each. A plurality of such components can be assembled via the points of contact to an assembly or to an electronic circuit.
