Use of soy formulations in food compositions |
abstract |
The present invention provides novel soy formulations comprising 3-23 milligrams of atnleast one isoflavone per gram of the formulation. The soy formulations may additionallyncomprise 0.4 to 1.2 grams of protein per gram of the formulation. In another aspect, thenpresent invention provides novel soy formulations comprising diadzin, genistin andnglycitin in a ratio of 3:1:2 to 3:4:5:1, preferably approximately 2:1:1 such that diadzin is anmajor isoflavone component. The present invention further provides dietary supplementsnand food products comprising a soy formulation of the present invention. In anothernaspect the present invention provides pharmacological compositions comprising a soynformulation of the present invention. The pharmacological compositions maynadditionally comprise a medicinal composition. Also disclosed are methods fornpromoting the health of an individual, preferably utilizing the soy formulations, dietarynsupplements, food products and/or pharmacological compositions of the presentninvention. |
