The invention relates to a method and an apparatusnfor automatic quantitative protein measurementnwithout risks of bacterial or microbiological contaminationnin each process step. The apparatus comprises ansampling unit (14) for automatically collecting a samplenliquid online from at least one operation process of ancell culture step (wherein an antibody or other proteinsnare produced and secreted into the culture medium), anseparation step or a culture product purification stepnin a plant for culturing biological cells to produce anprotein, a preprocessing unit (15) for performing dilutionnand/or filtration of the sample liquid to adjustnthe liquid composition, a reaction unit (9) having ancross-sectional area of 0.04 mm 2 or less for quantitativelynmeasuring a protein contained in the adjustednliquid using an antigen-antibody reaction, a measurementnunit (16) for quantitatively measuring the protein accordingnto the result of the reaction, a control unitn(17) for automatically controlling operations of thenabove units constituting the apparatus, and recordingnunit (18) for recording the measurement results. |
