The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a composite consisting of a ceramic matrix and silicon carbide (SiC) fibers, which comprises a SiC fiber growth operation in a compact containing silicon, carbon , nitrogen and oxygen and containing SiC in the form of crystals, as well as a densification operation of this compact, and wherein said SiC fiber growth operation is carried out simultaneously with the densification step of said compact.n n n The invention also relates to the composite thus obtained.n n n Applications: automotive, aerospace, space and nuclear industries, particularly for the production of cutting or drilling tools, or the realization of shielding. |
