Multicomponent compositions for dyeing keratin materials comprise: a first component (A) containing aromatic dye precursors(s) (I) having at least two vicinal phenolic hydroxy groups and catalyst system(s) comprising one or more divalent zinc and/or manganese salts and oxides as first component (II) and alkali(ne earth) metal bicarbonate(s) as second component and at least one acidic component (B) and/or alkaline component (C). Multicomponent compositions for dyeing keratin materials comprise: a first component (A) (optionally subdivided into components (A1) and (A2)) containing aromatic dye precursors(s) (I) having at least two vicinal phenolic hydroxy groups and catalyst system(s) comprising one or more of divalent zinc and/or manganese salts and oxides as first component (II) and alkali(ne earth) metal bicarbonate(s) as second component (III) and at least one acidic component (B) and/or alkaline component (C). (II) and (III) may be present together in (A) or separately in (A1) and (A2). |
