abstract |
The invention is directed to a method of detecting hydrogen radicalsnpresent in water or an aqueous solution, characterized in adding sodiumnsalt of 3,5-dibromo-4-nitrosobenzenesulfonic acid (DBNBS) to a sample forndetecting the hydrogen radicals by coloring resulting from absorptionncharacteristics thereof, and further characterized in blowing hydrogen gasninto a solution of 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) having absorptionnin the vicinity of 517 nm and a solution of sodium salt of 3,5-dibromo-4-nitrosobenzenesulfonicnacid (DBNBS) at a constant speed in the presence ofnplatinum black for quantitatively analyzing the concentration of thenhydrogen radicals from a calibration curve C of a graph of correlationnbetween absorbance in the vicinity of 450 nm derived from a DBNBS azoncompound and the concentration of the formed hydrogen radicals. |
