abstract The invention is directed to a method for determining the inhibition activity of a compound to be tested on at least the DHPS activity of the folate synthesis pathway, which is coupled with the detection of the release of formed inorganic phosphate. An enzymatic assay, implementing this method of determination on an enzymatic composition, is also within the scope of the invention.This assay is suitable for high throughput screening of compounds affecting folate pathway.
